Young Restaurant Team of the Year
Competition
Launched in 2012, the competition brings together teams from across the UK who run a live restaurant service for guests and esteemed judges.
All competitors are aged 21 or under, with each team comprising two chefs and one front of house who balances the role of service and sommelier. Each team can be guided in advance of competing by a nominated mentor.
The semi finals in 2027 will take place on Wednesday 10th March at The Cookery School at The Grand, York.
Selected semi finalists will be accommodated locally on Tuesday 9th March and enjoy a dinner at the York Minster Refectory.
The National Finalists will compete on 23rd June prior to the commencement of the Skills for Chefs Conference. The winning team will embark on an international study tour.
In recent years study tours have included visits to Italy, Spain, Portugal and France.
